Sidney H. Kelsey Jr. graduated from High School here in Hampton Roads and upon graduating from Washington & Lee School of Law, returned home to practice with his father. For 10 years, they tried maritime law and personal injury cases under the firm name Kelsey & Kelsey.

Mr. Kelsey was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1971 and has been admitted to numerous state and federal courts including the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Supreme Court of the United States.
